Lesson 26

My attack thoughts are attacking my invulnerability.

Nothing except your thoughts can attack you. Nothing except your thoughts can make you think you are vulnerable. And nothing except your thoughts can prove to you this is not so.

I love it. It’s singular. Amazing and incredible in its simplicity. It is in your thoughts that you are attacked, and so it is in your thoughts that the healing and undoing takes place. It’s just you. That’s all.

Whatever seems to be happening, whatever comes your way, your experience is happening in you. It’s not ‘out there’. You feel, you think, you are. It’s you. That makes it real easy. You have the workbook of A Course In Miracles in your hand and all you have to do is apply the lesson. And if you need a reminder, you pick the book up again. Or you watch a DVD. Or you download a beautiful podcast of A Course In Miracles on your iPod. Or you play a CD or tape in your car. The reminder is everywhere, if you are only open to it. And beyond all of that there is the Voice for God speaking to you. You have everything you need, right now and right here. Like the Master Teacher would say: “Everything you need is given you, but it is up to you to use it.” It’s the simplicity of salvation. The searching is over. It’s all in you already. This world was over long ago.

This world was over long ago. The thoughts that made it are no longer in the mind that thought of them and loved them for a little while. The miracle but shows the past is gone, and what has truly gone has no effects. Remembering a cause can but produce illusions of its presence, not effects.

– Ch.28.I. The Present Memory

It makes it real simple: all that is going on, is going on in you. Outside of that there is nothing. Your attack thoughts are attacking your invulnerability, but you don’t have to do it anymore. You have the lesson, apply it. It clears your mind immediately, so you know with certainty that you are as God created you and that the world you see has no reality.
