The Changelessness In All Things

Today’s lesson in A Course In Miracles is a great practice. To apply it in your own mind, to surrender to the moment as it is, offers you a power that is not of this world. There is nothing wrong with the word ‘practice’. There is no need to shun it or ridicule it in an assertion that you know already. When you know, you are in an action of surrender every moment, and Jesus does give you some hints about your unwillingness to simply accept that you do need help.

All learning involves attention and study at some level. This course is a MIND- TRAINING course. Good students assign study periods for themselves. However, since this obvious step has not occurred to you, and since we are cooperating in this, I will make the obvious assignment now.

In your willingness to apply the lesson for today all things are given you. And you recognize that you can accept them exactly as they are. There is no need to assert yourself, there is nothing you can correct of yourself, you recognize that if there is a problem, you are it. The answer is given you and you recognize it in a moment of stillness and surrender to God.

Let all things be exactly as they are.

Let me not be Your critic, Lord, today, and judge against You. Let me not attempt to interfere with Your creation, and distort it into sickly forms. Let me be willing to withdraw my wishes from its unity, and thus to let it be as You created it. For thus will I be able, too, to recognize my Self as You created me. In love was I created, and in love will I remain forever. What can frighten me, when I let all things be exactly as they are?

Let not our sight be blasphemous today, nor let our ears attend to lying tongues. Only reality is free of pain. Only reality is free of loss. Only reality is wholly safe. And it is only this we seek today.
